1. Gary Adams - Please Pray for my son, Clayton (Hope) - Dec 19, 2008 Dear Church Family,
My name is Clayton Adams. I want to tell you who I am. I was wrongfully convicted of murder. I’m now serving 28 years to life in prison. I need your help! My case is in the appeals process now. If they grant me a new trial, I’ll need to hire an attorney that will present the evidence that will show I was acting in self-defense. If by chance I don’t get a new trial, the next course of action is post conviction relief, in which I’ll need a post conviction relief specialist to help prove my innocence.
I’m 24 years old. I was born January 17, 1984 in Clinton, Iowa. My parents are Laurie and Gary Adams of Caldwell, Idaho. Members of the Caldwell Adventist Church. I was baptized into the church on Christmas Day, 1993. Growing up in the church, nothing could sway my passion from serving Christ.
I made some wrong choices in my life but our wonderful Shepherd never gave up on me. He has since found me and is continuing to mold me into a wonderful tool for him. God, has changed me so much, I desire to serve him and lead a good life. He’s instilled in me the desire to teach, to be an example of his love and speak to all about his forgiveness.
Please rejoice with me! “I have swept away your offences like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22
I’m not a murderer and I need your help. I need to raise $60,000. For more information about my case, please see the attached flyer. You may also go to www.myspace.com\heyheyclayton. Please e-mail or copy and mail this to the other members of your church and anyone else you think might help. If you can donate anything $1, $5, $100, $1000. Whatever it may be, it will help. Some have asked for my address. See below.
Thank you so much for your help and prayers.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
All my Heart,
Clayton Adams
